Lady Gaga’s Looks Through the Years: Birthday Edition

Whether you’ve been a fan for a decade or are a newly appointed Little Monster, there is no denying Lady Gaga is ridiculously talented - with everything she does.
From the New York club girl with a hair bow to the woman wearing a meat dress, no one sparked more conversations, courted more controversies or pushed more boundaries than anyone in the spotlight.

So, to celebrate the birthday of Mother Monster, here are Gaga's most iconic looks through the last 10 years.

2010:

Ah, yes. The iconic meat dess. Where would we be without this controversial but no doubt memorable ensemble? Gaga strolled up to the MTV VMAs dripping in raw meat from head to toe. It was probably the first and last time a celebrity went to a butcher shop to go shopping for a fancy event.

2011:

As the pop Queen took a stroll down the meatpacking district in New York, she wasn't afraid of turning a few heads in her head to toe red ensemble. Featuring a hair of 12 inch ankle boot red platforms, a very on trend super sized puff sleeve dress and a pair of sunglasses that could block out the whole world. Gaga looks red hot as she parades the street.

2012:

Gaga made ghost fashion at the 2012 Glamour Women of the Year Awards when she walked the red caret in a white pearl-studded suit with matching shoes and frizzed blonde hair with white, frosted lashes.

2013:

The lavender Versace gown she wore to the 2013 American Music Awards while riding a giant white horse. Speaking of dramatic entrances, here's another! At the AMAs, she channeled Rapunzel/Lady Godiva in a lavender dress and long blonde hair while riding atop a mechanical puppet horse powered by people.

2014:

It's a surprise! Lady Gaga doesn't give anyone a sneak preview of her face as she arrives at Roseland Ballroom on March 28, 2014 in New York City.

2015:

Gaga was avant garde high fashion at its best in a stunning Azzedine Alaia and red gloves at the 2015 Oscars Ceremony. She hit the carpet in a custom textured Alaïa gown, on which she closely collaborated with the designer, paired with bright red gloves. To perform a stirring tribute to The Sound of Music during the ceremony, she wore another Alaïa with a classic, voluminous silhouette.

 2016:

Gaga still stood out in a white strapless jumpsuit by Brandon Maxwell with a long train. The elegant structured jumpsuit shows us that Gaga can do it all. From extra over the top elaborate pieces to almost angelic, she is a absolute dream in head to toe Maxwell.

2017:

Leaning into heavy-metal vibes for the 2017 Grammys, Gaga hit the red carpet in a two-piece shiny black leather ensemble with spiky long sleeves and chains hanging from her hips, accessorised with aviators and thigh-high, very-high-heeled leather boots.

2018:

Gaga has graced our radios, televisions, and movie screens with her megawatt star presence, and her style definitely lives up to this. She can officially turn anything into an A star was born at Venice in 2018, when Gaga made her first grand entrance as a bona fide leading lady at the premiere of A Star Is Born. She hit the carpet with co-star and director Bradley Cooper, wearing this voluminous pale pink Valentino princess dress.

2019:

Gaga was named one of the annual ball’s co-chairs. She clearly took her duties seriously, arriving on the flamingo-pink carpet in this fuchsia Brandon Maxwell cape and delivering a amazing choreographed routine with her umbrella-wielding train-carriers, before being stripped to reveal an asymmetrical sculptural black gown. She then lost the second look, uncovering a hot pink sheath, which she ultimately took off to conclude the fashion show in a bedazzled black bra and fishnets. So, you know, just another elegant and understated first Monday in May for for the statement Queen.

2020:

Starting off 2020 with winning her first Academy Award, Gaga stunned the crowd and made Brandon Maxwell burst with pride as she worse his duchess satin gown to accept her award. But it wasn't just the dress that stunned and more so the jewels that stole the night, as she adorned  the 128 - caret Tiffany diamond necklace, last worn by Audrey Hepburn. Making not only her outfit but the whole night a star studded event.
